### MaxHeaderBytes
_Optional, Default=1048576_
The `maxHeaderBytes` option defines the maximum size, in bytes, of the request headers Traefik reads for each request (including the request line).
!!! note "Security"
With HTTP/2, a single connection can multiplex many concurrent requests, each carrying its own headers.
With the default value, some HTTP/2 calls can therefore lead to a significant memory consumption on the Traefik instance.
It is recommended to either lower this value to match your actual needs, or to provision enough memory to handle the expected load.
```yaml tab="File (YAML)"
entryPoints:
websecure:
address: ':443'
http:
maxHeaderBytes: 524288
```
```toml tab="File (TOML)"
[entryPoints.websecure]
address = ":443"
[entryPoints.websecure.http]
maxHeaderBytes = 524288
```
```bash tab="CLI"
--entryPoints.websecure.address=:443
--entryPoints.websecure.http.maxHeaderBytes=524288
```
